World Bank Chief Jim Yong Kim praises Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching Jan Dhan Yojna. He added that his strong visionary leadership had resulted in extraordinary effort by India on financial fields.
A report was brought out by the World Bank saying that by January 2015, 125 million bank accounts had been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna launched in August 2014. Its main goal is to open bank accounts for every household in India.
On larger grounds when noticed, it was found that this financial service can serve as a bridge out of poverty.
It will require a lot of partners, banks, MNC’s, credit card companies, etc..
SBI (State Bank of India ) is already participating in the panel as said by Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya.
